Event Description
Strong Mwera winds are expected blow on Lake Malawi and other lake water bodies from Friday night 1st August 2025. The Mwera winds are likely to trigger dangerous water waves. These waves may capsize small boats, disrupt lake activities such as fishing, sailing, and swimming, and could lead to drowning and loss of life. The Mwera winds are expected to subside by Tuesday 5th August 2025.
