SUMMARY OF WEATHER AHEAD

Expect windy and partly cloudy conditions with a significant drop in daytime temperatures and isolated rains from Monday, 20th to Thursday, 23rd October 2025. As from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th October 2025, expect mostly sunny, hazy and very hot conditions over most areas due to warm easterly air masses.

Rough conditions are expected over Lake Malawi and other water bodies due to Mwera winds.

In addition, a tropical storm, CHENGE has formed in the Southwest Indian Ocean, with an approximately 30% likelihood of entering into the Mozambique Channel towards the end of the week. The department is closely tracking its trajectory and evolution. Should this storm present any threat to Malawi, the public will be promptly notified.
