Expect windy conditions and thunderstorms with locally heavy rain, mainly over lakeshore areas, as the rain-belt is expected to remain active over northern and lakeshore areas.

Advisory: Mwera winds, with speeds of about 36 km/h, are likely to blow over Lake Malawi and other lake water bodies beginning today, 3rd April to Sunday, 6th April 2025. The Mwera winds are expected to trigger high waves of around 1 metre. Therefore, all lake users are advised to take the necessary precautions to avoid loss of life and property.
