SUMMARY OF WEATHER AHEAD

From Monday, 05th January to Tuesday, 06th January 2026, cloudy conditions with localized thunderstorms and rainfall are expected, with some areas experiencing heavy falls. The localized heavy rains are likely to spread to more areas, mainly along the southern lakeshore areas and parts of the southern region, from Wednesday, 07th January to Friday, 09th January 2026, before reducing over most areas thereafter. These conditions are attributed to the oscillating Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), supported by an embedded low-pressure system that will be active in the Mozambique Channel before moving overland.
