DCCMS Reaches New Heights on Social Media.

The Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (DCCMS) has achieved a significant milestone on social media, with its official Facebook page now boasting over 50,000 followers. In addition, the Department's WhatsApp Channel continues to grow steadily, attracting over 15000 followers. This reflects the growing public interest in receiving timely weather information.
This development has been warmly welcomed by meteorological officers within the Department, who view it as a significant step in improving public access to accurate weather updates. These include alerts on cyclones, Mwera winds, and rainfall.
DCCMS uses various digital platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, X formerly known as Twitter, YouTube and others to share weather information with the public. This communication effort supports the Department's mission to save lives, protect property and contribute to national economic development through timely and reliable weather services.
