Strong Mwera winds of up to 50km/h will start blowing over lake Malawi, Chilwa and other water bodies from Tuesday, 10th September 2024 causing high water waves of up to 1.5meters. All lake users are therefore advised to take all the necessary precautionary measures during this time to avoid loss of life and property.
