Climate Projections for the Eight Agricultural Development Divisions (ADDs) in Malawi

The Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (DCCMS) developed this climate change projections for Malawi that informs the formulation of National Adaptation Plan. The department conducted climate change modelling (CCM) and develop a set of nationally agreed climate change projections for the country, especially temperature, precipitation and extreme climate events such as heavy rains (floods), droughts, heatwaves, strong winds and cyclones. The updated Global Climate Models (GCMs) of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project 6 (CMIP6) was used to develop the climate projections for Malawi for 2040s, 2060s and 2080s.
